For a little more about my family, my son Grant who is 2 1/2 years younger than my daughter never wanted anything flying around his room and really disliked the Sandman.  However that changed and when Grant was six year old he started realizing that Margaux's fairy was not bad or harmful. Grant wanted a pal too.  So what better than a small gnome running around Grant's room leaving gifts, notes and candy.  I have always looked for something on a canvas for him and this Fall I found it.  And they seem very popular because before I could even stitch one I sold the set of 7 twice.  Here is a sample of these wonderful gnomes.

A little more Sandra Gilmore with a bit of a story.  My daughter and I love fairies.  When Margaux was six years old a fairy arrived in her room and flies around during the night leaving her treats, notes and fairy dust.  We established early on that this was our secret and almost 12 years later that little fairy is still busy at night.  I think next year the fairy will be using the postal service as Margaux heads off for college.

Each of these fairies have been named by Sandra and has been painted on a sparkle canvas.  Wouldn't an open background stitch look lovely on Ariel, Pansy and Nissa.

Steve came in our shop the other day for some threads for another project and shared this work of art with us.  He said he has made this before and this is a gift for friends.  Don't you wish you could be his friend too!

Oh my goodness - I am shocked this photo is not sideways!

Joyce did this frog up because she thought it was so cute.  After seeing it she asked me what she should do with it - I told her I have no idea.  However I reassured her that she is a true needlepointer now that she has made this classic needlepoint design.  Every stitcher should complete one of these.  Joyce enjoyed working on this canvas and trying new stitches.  I love the Nantucket Basket and I am sure the flowers have something to do with the island as well.

How great is this?  Nancy decided that rather than incur the expense of having her finished canvas installed into a jean jacket that she was not going to wear she decided to have it finished to the back of her new red coat.  This is truly a fun way to display your art.
