Santa Fe Steps is a Carole Lake design which when fully completed is a 5 x 5 inch design.

Stitches used in the piece are tent stitch, mosaic stitch, slanted gobelin, scotch stitch, Rhodes stitches, multiple cross stitches and a braided knitting stitch.  The focal point is a “double fan double” stitch, which is a fun exercise.

We’ll walk through all of the stitches with the emphasis being on the double fan double.

This is a versatile piece which can be framed, put into Sudberry  boxes, or made into a pillow.  The center segment may be made into a Christmas ornament or door hanger.   I plan to make my design into a ring bearer pillow for my niece.

You’ll need to select your Watercolour thread and Kreinik thread in advance of the class.  We’ll discuss in class how you can adapt canvas colors and threads for future projects.  These are quick pieces that make wonderful gifts.

The class and materials will cost $70.  You will need to provide 8 x 8 inch stretcher bars.

The Class will be taught by Cathrn Curia.  When signing up please make sure to select your date whether it is Saturday or Sunday.
