Gretchen is taking this Fleur De Lis Belt and making it her own by incorporating her own pattern into to the belt.
My son, Alex, liked the Hunter
Green color way. I thought it was a lot of solid green to stitch so I
suggested putting a pattern behind the fluers de lis. I am stitching
this with the Vineyard Merino Wool. This pattern will keep my interest
while I stitch and give him a belt that is unique and coordinates with
the colors in his clothing. The fluers de lis are painting in metallic
but we wanted it to have a masculine feel so we are using wool for the
entire belt. Alex has several needlepoint belts and enjoys wearing
them.
