Clara Wells Trunk Show
I apologize it has come to my attention that the cost of finishing the Clara Wells totes, clutches, bucket bags and clutches are extremely high.  Anyone purchasing one of these canvases will receive an additional 20% off finishing. This does not include belts or pillows as these are the standard prices.

October Book Club
We will be meeting this Wednesday to discuss The Lifeboat by Charlotte Rogan.  We will meet twice to accommodate everyone interested.  The first discussion will be at 1:30PM and then again in the evening at 7:00PM.  Please give the shop a call if you are interested in attending so we know if we should be open on Wednesday Night.

Stitch & Chat Donations
Beginning immediately until Thanksgiving we have decided that in lieu of collecting for Stitch and Chat we are asking that everyone help the hungry in Paterson as all the pantries are barren.  We simply ask that for each session you attend you make a $10 donation of food or a gift card to a supermarket.  If neither of these things work out we will gladly purchase gift cards or food items from Shoprite for you.  We hope everyone will be generous as it is a time of great need for many people.

Should you desire to put together a Thanksgiving Basket that would be wonderful and here are some suggestions for that:

Tony Mineri’s Stars for a New Millenium Class

Tony Minieir’s Stars for a New Millennium Class is set to start in January 2013.  Cathryn Curia will be teaching this class.  So if you are interested please stop by the shop to choose your colorway.  There seems to be about a dozen options to choose from.

As of now Cathryn is planning to run the class the second Sunday of very month for an entire year.  Naturally dates will be subject to change if they fall on a holiday as well as weather factors. Each class will run four hours from 9AM – 1PM.  January 13th will be the prep month.  It is extremely important if you are interested in taking this class that you select your colorway as soon as possible because it involves pulling about 30 different threads for each project.

Patchwork of Peace taught by Gretchen

Gretchen is also preparing to teach the Patchwork of Peace.  This will be a class that meets once a month for four months from 2 PM – 5PM on the third Saturday of each month.  These dates are January 19th, February, 16th, March 16th and April 20th.  This American Flag will be set up so that you will learn 247 different stitches using a multiple of threads.  Gretchen will be teaching the difficult stitches but the class comes with a book to guide you.  This canvas is available on 18 and 14 mesh.  The 14 mesh being the standard.  Should you not want red, white and blue you make request a line drawn canvas and change your colorway.  For example you may choose a gold, beige and off white combination.

Next time I promise to have a better completed picture of this wonderful American Flag design.
Sign up for both these classes has begun so if you are interested please call the shop as a non refundable $50 deposit is required to secure your spot.

Stephanie’s Ribbon Class
Stephanie’s ribbon class will still be happening.  The canvas Stephanie will be teaching on is Sandra Gilmore’s “Cart”.  The delay has been a back order on the canvas which should be in the shop next week.  As soon as it arrives Stephanie will stitch it up as an example and we can determine class details.

Beginner, Advanced Beginner and Private Parties
Kappy is running full speed ahead teaching Beginner and Advance Beginner Classes so if you are interested please call and have your name added to her list so that the next time it is offered we can contact you.  We try our best with these classes to work around individual schedules.
Our Girl Scout and Birthday parties are set up now with each girl leaving with a finished bookmark.  She will learn the basics of needlepoint so please contact the shop should you be interested in one of these parties.  The cost is $25 per girl and has proved to be an enjoyable event for the girls.

Lastly I would like to add a special thank you to my wonderful staff as they have all gone above and beyond during my absence.  Vanessa
