Bug Eye

This is something every stitcher should own.  In the trade we call it a bug eye.  With this tool you are able to look over your canvas before you send it to a finisher to see if you have missed any stitches.

Please take a moment to look at this magnificent Tallis bag our customer Helen made for her 2 year old grandson.  The colors she selected really make the canvas come alive and Helen did a wonderful job stitching this.

I wanted to share an article that Sally gave me from the Ladies Home Journal (July 2011).
Working with your hands can flood your brain with natural antidepressants.  Needlepoint is a great skill to learn at any age.  It will help decrease your stress level.  It helps you cultivate mindfulness and the sense of oneness with your activity.  It will give you a greater sense of control.  You will benefit even if you start small and you will feel a sense of accomplishment sooner.

Look at this wonderful picture of the buildings at Stanford University.  Fran did a spectacular job in creating this gift for her son.  It would make any graduate proud.

Angel Tree Topper

This is a beautiful Angel Tree Topper completed by Meredith.  It is stunning and down in such vibrant colors that is will not be missed on any tree.  Great job Meredith in completing another project and gettinng on the blog again.  Let's see if she finishes her Christmas stocking in time for the resolution discount.  I will keep everyone posted.
